GIANT Duck Hunt

Cost: £1 per trail card

Dates: 29 March - 14 April

The GIANT Duck Hunt returns, and our cheeky yellow ducks have gone hiding around Martin Mere. We need your detective skills to find all 20 of them and work out which sneaky duck is still missing. There’s a tasty treat if you find them all!

Annual Duck Race

Cost: £3.50 per rubber duck, with free entry into the race

Dates: 6 May

It’s the most exciting race of the year! The annual Duck Race returns in 2024, will your duck make it across the finish line first? We’ll have three races on Bank Holiday Monday (6 May), and you can visit our craft room from 29 March (weekends and holidays) to buy and colour your rubber duck ready for the race. If you can’t make it before then, you can also purchase your duck on the day!

Bing and flop in the outdoors

Bing’s Nature Explorers

Cost: Free

Dates: 23 March - 2 June

Follow Bing’s Nature Explorers trail to discover fun-filled challenges and amazing wildlife facts. Be sure to pick up a map at the start and collect your sticker once you’ve completed the trail.

Bing’s Meet and Greets

Cost: Free

Dates: 25 May - 2 June

Join Bing and Flop for character appearances over May Half Term. Snap a photo of your time together, and join us for a mini-show where you can learn all about wildlife and wetlands.

Canoe Safari

Cost: £3.50 per seat on a guided boat, £12 per canoe (up to 3 people)

Dates: 29 March - 30 September

Take a seat on our 30-minute guided boat tour and explore Martin Mere via our waters. Or, decide your own adventures with our canoe with up to 1 hour of exploration.

NEW for 2024 - pick up a bag of feed for £1 and feed the fish as part of our guided boat tour.

Pond Dipping

Cost: Free

Dates: 29 March - 29 September (weekends and holidays only)

Have you ever wondered what lives under our waters? Join us for our pond dipping sessions on weekends and holidays. Pick up your net, delve deep, and uncover all kinds of life such as water boatmen and newts.

Moth trapping

Cost: Free

Dates: May - August

Every day from 1 May until 31 August, join us at 10:30am to open the moth trap to see what moths we have caught as well as find out all the weird and wonderful facts about moths. Moth traps allow us to record the species we get at Martin Mere - currently at 315 moths, as well as giving you an opportunity to get up close to these amazing creatures to take fantastic photos.
