Latest Sightings

A slight chill in the hides today as the air comes from the North West and probably helping more waders on there way!

Waders still dominate with 500+ Lapwing, 250+ Black-tailed Godwit, 13 Dunlin (half and half adult/juvenile), 2 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Redshank, Ruff and Green Sandpiper.

Raptors included Marsh Harrier (2nd year bird), 3+ Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and possible Hobby.

Six recently fledged Swallow from the Ron Barker Hide. Also there Teal with 3 young and close by from the Kingfisher Hide a Reed Warbler carrying a very large caterpillar possibly feeding a young Cuckoo?
