A very warm day

A clear night and tailwind seems to have encouraged a few waders to move on overnight, we will see waves of them passing through until October. The calmer conditions encouraged the passerines to show well again, the weather has dumped many warblers over the weekend and it is easy to see and hear them again. As usual the Holden Tower/Knott Hide are great places to look out for them . Swallows and Martins are gathering on the wires in flocks, another sign of late summer.

The Swallows are gathering.
