Hard frost this morning so activity confined largely to the ice free areas of the Rushy, South Lake and Zeiss Hide.

South Lake

Looking great in the sunshine. 1350 Lapwing and 50 Dunlin were parked on the ice. The open water was crammed with Ducks.

Hard frost but 11 Crane feeding in the middle of the field. The Whitefront flock may have increased with a distant count of 155 in fields to the north. Around 150 Lapwing were sitting out the frost and 3 Ruff were flying around. At least 4 buzzards could be seen and 109 Crows were feeding on the estuary. Two Foxes were fighting out on the estuary making use of the frost to access the tidal island.
