Latest Sightings

Complilation from the past few days. Not a massive influx of migrant waders but potentially some new birds in. More weather in the next week looks interesting if you don't mind dodging the showers.

Lapwing numbers seem to have gone up again with 600+ birds present today. Two Green Sandpiper, Greenshank, 30+ Ruff, 60+ Snipe, 10 Black-tailed Godwit and an elusive Wood Sandpiper.

An influx of Marsh Harrier with three birds seen today. Also present Peregrine, 4+ Buzzard, 3 Kestrel and 2 Sparrowhawk. Barn Owl early on.

Feral goose flock is expanding with 520+ Canada and 500+ Greylag. A Barnacle Goose, a flying Pink-footed Goose and a report of a Swan Goose have all been seen among them.

At least 250 Teal present with one or two giving a hint they are coming out of eclipse plumage.

Flocks of 300+ Goldfinch are feeding out on the reserve. Linnets also present.

Swallows and House Martins in numbers feeding today.

Cetti's Warbler(s) still singing on the Reedbed. Numbers of Chiffchaff around the reserve particularly with tit flocks.
