Meet Bing this spring at Llanelli Wetland Centre

Families in South Wales will have the opportunity to meet Bing, the beloved title character from the multi-award-winning animated series, at Llanelli Wetland Centre this spring.

Join us for some fun with a Bing and Flop Nature Explorers activity trail at WWT Llanelli from Saturday 23 March to Sunday 2 June.

You'll find a variety of Bing-themed activities over Easter and May half term, designed to inspire families and young children to explore the captivating wetlands and discover the wildlife that calls it home.

The Bing activity trail comes with a fun, colourful handout to guide youngsters through the wetlands. It's all about sparking curiosity and getting them to discover the amazing variety of plants, birds, and other wildlife that are getting ready to welcome their little ones in the springtime. It's going to be a blast exploring and learning together!

On the weekends of 19 - 21 April, 26 - 28 April, and 3 - 6 May, Bingsters will have the chance to meet Bing and Flop costume characters for special photo opportunities.

Plus, don't miss out on the Bing storytelling sessions hosted by WWT team members in our visitor centre, featuring the delightful books from HarperCollins!

Jo Jones, WWT Llanelli's Centre Manager said: "Bing is one of TV's most loved characters, and he's going to become one of our best advocates for getting outdoors and learning through play, exactly what we're all about! It's the perfect match and we're very excited to share it with everyone who visits."

Every child who completes the trail will receive a souvenir Bing sticker! Plus, Bingsters who attend the storytelling or meet the characters will get their very own paper Bing ears to wear with pride. You can also grab Bing merchandise from the gift shop.

Commenting on the partnership, Kirsty Southgate, Director of Experiential and Promotions for Acamar Films said: "Bing and his friends love the outdoors, finding opportunities to pay outside and learn more about the plants and animals around them. These Bing activities with WWT will encourage new visitors to their locations and we hope that these visitors also find the same joy in exploring and learning more about UK wetland wildlife."

Jo Jones added: "The future of wetlands in the UK depends on younger generations caring about them and learning more about their importance. We feel that Bing, with his curiosity and the love he has for nature, is a fantastic character to bring on board to encourage families to enjoy being outdoors."

"Hopefully Bing will also help to inspire families that may have never visited before, to have fun and learn about what makes wetland wildlife so special."
