Spoonbill

Zeiss Hide/Top New Piece

A Spoonbill was roosting on the islands in the morning but moved off elsewhere. The Little Stint was again on the islands with c100 Dunlin coming in over the tide. Three Cranes, 40 Golden Plover and small numbers of Ruff were seen flying over this area during the day.

Kingfisher Hide

Work with an excavator began today and will continue on both the Bottom and Top New Piece this week. Chiffchaff and Cetti's Warbler were heard.

South Lake

At least three Snipe, 9 Redshank, 12 Lapwing and a Black-tailed Godwit on the scrape with 35+ Shoveler, Little Grebe and 13 drake Pochard.

Martin Smith Hide

The Jack Snipe continued to show well.

Tack Piece

10 Wigeon, 380+ Teal, 2 Redshank, 16 Black-tailed Godwit.
