Memories and Imagination
Ceramicist Julian Francis, printmaker Malcolm Davies and painter Suzanne Stuart Davies worked on exhibitions together for many years.
Julian and Suzanne continue to collaborate and this exhibition features their recent work alongside some late examples of Malcolm’ prints (who died in 2014).
The Solway Firth has been a constant source of stimulation, the background to their work.
JULIAN FRANCIS lives and works in Galloway, running Dragon Pottery at Gelston with his wife, Sue. The rural surroundings of the workshop, the farmland, woodland and seashore beyond have become a valuable resource for pottery and life.
SUZANNE STUART DAVIES is primarily a painter. In this exhibition, oil paintings and watercolours are joined with inkjet collages and posters / poems.
