Nature Writing Workshop

Would you like to join us at Caerlaverock and discover how to record your nature experiences?

For some, nothing is more intimidating than a blank page. Come along to our workshop and conquer this fear!

In a small group, we will walk the reserve, learning how to gather and focus ideas and carrying out writing exercises.

The workshop will take about 3 hours. You will produce two short pieces of writing by the end when there will be time for a sharing and feedback.

To inspire you, here is an excerpt from Lynda's piece that she produced at our workshop in March:

Rooks bustle on the wing, gathering the best bits to swaddle their young in cots that sit precariously, rocking to and fro atop the naked branches of trees reaching up, waiting for the chance to burst into new life too.

We can provide pen and paper and there will be hot drinks and cake!

Please bring weather appropriate clothes and sturdy outdoor shoes.
