Photography in Nature: Autumn Colours and Light

November is the time when nature explodes into vibrant colour and the ever-changing weather patterns yield glorious moments of sparkling and effervescent light.

Cloudy skies provide soft diffusion; mist, frost, moisture and thundery skies enhance mood and atmosphere, brilliant sunshine infuses every texture and detail with a magical elusive light.

In this workshop we explore composition and the arrangement of elements within the frame to create vibrant and atmospheric images, exposed perfectly to reveal the glory of autumn.

We look at colour and how to combine, include or exclude alternative colours for maximum effect. We examine colour temperature in low autumnal light and how to use in-camera white balance settings for creative effect.
