Children's Writing Workshop

Celebrate our Words for Wetlands programme with a new writing workshop led by multi award-winning novelist, mentor and university lecturer, Bryony Pearce www.bryonypearce.co.uk.

Date: Saturday 13 July

Time: 11am-12 noon or 1-2pm

Do you love the world around you?

Do you love to write?

Would you like to learn how to describe the world in a way that will make your teachers say ‘wow’?

Bryony Pearce, author of award-winning novels for young readers, including Savage Island, Phoenix Rising and Angel’s Fury, is visiting us especially to teach you how to do just that.

You’ll learn how to look at the world around you in different ways, and how to pick just the right words and put them together in just the right ways.

And you’ll learn to notice and connect with nature with your new ‘writer’s eye view’!

Suitable for children ages 10+. Children must have a responsible adult with them for the entire session but only tickets for the child participating need to be booked. Children unaccompanied by a responsible adult will not be able to participate in the session. Our workshop space can only accommodate maximum one adult per child.

Cost: Non members: £47 per child, ticket includes admission for 1 child and 1 adult. WWT members: £20, ticket includes event for 1 child and 1 adult.
